OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University women's soccer program has signed Jess Austin for the 2017 season.

Austin is a 5'5 defender that comes to MACU from Lassen Community College, where she helped the Cougars capture two straight league championships while also going undefeated in conference play.

She was a second-team all-conference performer at Lassen and also received Academic All-America recognition.

In high school, Austin helped St. Joseph win three consecutive state titles and earned three all-state selections.

"Jess is a solid outside back that will give us depth and compete for a job next year," MACU Women's Soccer Co-Head Coach Zach Bice said.  "We are excited about the experience she brings from Lassen."

She is the daughter of Gillian and Robert Austin and plans to major in Business Administration/Sports Management at MACU.

Austin, a native of Gold Coast, Australia, is joining a program that was 7-9-1 last season after winning consecutive NCCAA Central Regional championships in 2014 & 2015.
