OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Softball Evangels have added catcher Hannah Salmon to the program for the 2018 season.

Salmon arrives at MACU after competing one season for NCAA D-II member Delta State University (Miss.).

At Delta State, Salmon played in 24 games and scored 10 runs while being successful on three of her four stolen base attempts.

An OKC native, Salmon competed for the Putnam City High School Pirates, where she was a three-time all-district performer and a three-time Big 10 All-Conference selection.

Salmon was also a first-team All-West Region pick in 2015.

"She is a great player that can play multiple positions," MACU Softball Head Coach Robert Wakefield said.

"Hannah is also a dedicated worker on and off the field.  She is very athletic and will be a big plus to our team during the next three years."

She is the daughter of Tim Salmon and plans to major in Business at MACU.
