OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University men's golf team found themselves well back of the pack entering day two of the Southwestern Christian University Fall Collegiate on Wednesday, and they knew that the day needed to be as much about improving their own performance as anything else. The Evangels, playing with just four players, were able to do exactly that.

The Evangels shaved 16 shots off their team score from round one to round two, shooting a team total of 308 and climbing one spot on the team leaderboard to a 13th-place finish. The event was won by Kansas Wesleyan University with a total score of 577 (294-283), and the rest of the top-five was comprised of St. Gregory's University (581: 299-282), Bellevue University (582: 294-288), Central Baptist College (593: 301-292), and Seminole State College (600: 302-298).

MACU's Tyler Price led the way for the Evangels, shooting a round of even par in the final round to finish in a tie for 17th place at 149 (77-72). Isaac Maston (79) and Austin Davis (80) matched their first round scores, and Jesse Humphrey knocked 11 strokes off his first round total, shooting a final round 77.

MACU will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday, September 11 and 12 at the U.C Ferguson Classic, which will be hosted by Oklahoma City University at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
