OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University men's soccer team in in the midst of its best start since 2012, and on Monday afternoon, the Evangels earned their first award of the 2017 campaign.

Junior forward Dominik Tajak rode a 5-point week to claim his first Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor. Tajak is the first Evangel to earn a SAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week honor since September 21, 2015.

Tajak, a 6-6 native of Erlangen, Germany, factored in three of the Evangels' four goals during the week. He assisted on the first goal on Tuesday night at NCAA D-II Southern Nazarene, and he scored the second goal in that match, as MACU defeated SNU 2-0. On Saturday, Tajak scored his second game winning goal of the season, heading home a feed from Caleb Roldan late in the second half as the Evangels defeated Paul Quinn College 2-1. MACU is 4-0 on the young season, and Tajak has scored in all four matches, totaling 11 points in the process.

MACU will be back in action at Home on Friday, September 15th when they welcome the Jaguars of the University of Houston-Victoria to Oklahoma City for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
