MANHATTAN, Kan. – With only a week remaining in the 2017 non-conference schedule, the Mid-America Christian University women's soccer team headed north to Manhattan, Kansas for a rematch with the team they faced in the 2017 opener. For the second time this season, the Lady Evangels saw goals come in bunches, as they spread the wealth around.

MACU (4-1) got six-point efforts from Kierra Morgan and Allyson Pamplin, and Jennifer Starwalt – who was named the Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the day – earned the clean sheet in her first collegiate start, as the Lady Evangels cruised past Manhattan Christian College (0-9) with a 9-0 win.

Morgan, making her first appearance for MACU, opened the scoring in the 11th minute, as Pamplin laid a feed back to her which she cashed in for her first goal at MACU. Morgan added another goal in the 50th minute, and she assisted on goals by Brittney Stephens (60') and Angelica Ceballos (77') to rack up six points in her debut. Pamplin scored in the 23rd minute, and again in the 77th minute, to maintain her team lead in goals scored with six, and she assisted on goals from Morgan and Jasmine Chacon-Diaz as well – her first two assists of 2017. Veronica Lopez Cordero (18') and Casey Riley (39') also scored in the match for the Lady Evangels.

MACU dominated the match in every facet, notching 50 shots including 20 on goal in the match. In addition to the six-point efforts from Morgan and Pamplin, Stephens and Ceballos each had a goal and an assist for three points, and Keanni Barnes and Daniela Caranza each added assists as well.

Starwalt (2-0) earned her first career shutout in the match.

MACU will wrap up their 2017 non-conference schedule on Saturday, September 23 at 1 p.m. when they welcome the Sterling College Warriors (3-2) to Oklahoma City.
