OKLAHOMA CITY – Scoring Conditions were good at the North Course of Lake Hefner Golf Club in Oklahoma City on Monday for the NCCAA Central Regional Golf Championship, and the field took full advantage. As a result, two very good rounds for Mid-America Christian University's men's golf team left them still behind the leaders, but within striking distance entering the final day of the Championship.

MACU is 14 strokes behind the Championship leader McMurray University (581: 292-289) after shooting a combined total of 594 (299-295) over the first 36 holes. The Evangels, though, are only fourth on the leaderboard with Central Baptist College (583: 291-292) and Southwestern Christian University (586: 301-285) between MACU and the top of the leaderboard.

Tyler Price is in a tie for fourth in the Championship individuals after he posted a 145 (71-74) on day one. Austin Davis sits in ninth at 147 (75-72), and Isaac Maston is in the top-20 as well, having shot 151 (77-74). Jesse Humphrey (76-77) and Gage Gibson (78-75) each shot 153 and they are in a tie for 23rd along with MACU's Wyatt Bonds (76-77) who competed as an individual.

The Championship will conclude on Tuesday morning with a final 18-hole round. The Championship winning team will advance to the NCCAA National Championships to be held at the Conservatory Course at the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast, Florida from October 23-25.
