OKLAHOMA CITY – For the Mid-America Christian University women's soccer team, Tuesday's match against Bacone provided a critical opportunity to get points before a three match road trip. Nobody could have anticipated the offensive onslaught that the Lady Evangels were about to unleash.

MACU (8-2, 3-1 SAC) exploded for a dozen goals, including seven in the second half, as they cruised past the Bacone College Warriors (2-11, 0-4 SAC) with a 12-1 win.

Kelsey Janko and Alissa Tapp worked a short corner give-and-go in the 29th minute, and Tapp rifled a shot into the far side netting to open the scoring, and the Lady Evangels were off and running. Brittney Stephens tallied the next three goals – including two in the span of just 1:29 – to open the gap to 4-0, and Tapp added her second of the half in the 44th minute to cap the first half scoring and send MACU into the break with a 5-0 lead.

Kierra Morgan scored MACU's first goal of the second half in the 54th minute, and less than five minutes later, Stephens added her fourth. Angelica Ceballos and Allyson Pamplin scored twice in the second half, and Jasmine Chacon-Diaz also found the back of the net as MACU coasted in to the 12-1 win.

Jennifer Starwalt (6-1) allowed one goal and made three saves in earning the win, while Daphne Harvey (0-5) took the loss after allowing nine goals and making 10 saves before being lifted for Jordyn Moore. Moore yielded the final three goals and made three stops in 22 minutes of action.

Stephens' 4 goals led the way for MACU, but Tapp and Pamplin each had 5-point efforts as well. Ceballos had two goals for four points, Morgan and chacon-Diaz each tallied a goal and an assist for three points, and Janko and Alex White had an assist apiece as well.

MACU will head on the road on Saturday to take on the Central Christian College Tigers (3-8, 0-3 SAC). The match is slated to kick off at 1 p.m.
