Gaulke Activity Center
The home to MACU's basketball and volleyball teams, the Gaulke Activity Center was opened in 1998 and has served the university and other organizations for more than 20 years. The building hosted the NCCAA Division II basketball championships for several years after opening, and it features a full-sized college basketball court with a primary game volleyball courts and the ability to set up two volleyball courts side by side. The gym has six retractable basketball basketball goals, with chair back seating for fans on the north side of the court and bleachers for the students behind the team bench areas on the south side of the arena, with a capacity of 750. The floor itself was refinished prior to the 2018-19 school year.
The scorer's table provides seating for game staff and conference personnel during games, and has power and hard line internet access available, and an upper press row provides space for official game stats and the live video production crew.
The building also houses four locker rooms, public restrooms, a concession stand, athletic training and laundry facilities for the teams. The building also holds storage facilities, the volleyball coaches offices, men's and women's basketball coaches suites and the athletic director suite.
The Gaulke also serves the greater community as a polling location during elections within the city.
Since 2021, the Gaulke Activity Center has receive several renovations, starting with the Professor Steve Clouse Basketball Coaches Suites and a renovated concession stand that were completed in the summer of 2021 with a dedication ceremony held for Professor Clouse on Dec. 2, 2021.
In the summer of 2022, renovations to the exterior hallways and locker rooms to the Gaulke Activity Center were completed, which included new trophy cases, monitors, newly painted walls, a mural along the west hallway and the implementation of an apparel shop that is open on game days. On Oct. 29, 2022, the Willie Holley Athletic Director Suite was completed, which houses the offices of the Athletic Director, the Coordinator of Athletic Operations and a publicly available waiting foyer.
During the 2022-2023 season, the court adopted the name Staton Financial Group Court with a commemoration ceremony on the court re-naming held on Jan. 16, 2023.
