Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Sophomore defender Andrew Webster (Liverpool, England) has been named to the All-Sooner Athletic Conference first-team squad, as announced by the league office today.
Webster was a key component of the Evangels' defensive efforts this season.
He had a hand in five shutout victories for MACU this year, two more than last season.
Webster started all 17 matches and also dished out one assist.
The Evangels will next participate in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regionals on Nov. 18-20 in McPherson and Lindsborg, Kan.
MACU will be the second seed in the tourney and are scheduled to face seventh seeded Southwestern Assemblies of God on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 18) at 4 p.m. on the campus of Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan.
SAGU bested the Evangels 3-1 in MACU's season opener back on Aug. 25.
