Muskogee, Okla. -- Jeremiah Huff scored two goals to lead the Mid-America Christian Evangels to their first win of the season, a 3-0 victory over the Bacone College Warriors Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 14) in Muskogee, Okla.
It was Gabriel Gonzalez that got the Evangels (1-2-2) rolling just five minutes into the contest off a square pass from Arturo Alcala for a quick 1-0 lead.
Huff scored his first goal of the match in the 31st minute off a free kick from 25 yards out that gave the Evangels a two-goal advantage.
Huff then added another score on a laser shot from 30 yards away that put it away for MACU.
The Evangels will now look to make it two straight wins when they host Southwestern College (Kan.) on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 18) at 4 p.m.
