Claremore, Okla. -- The Rogers State University Hillcats cruised past the Mid-America Christian University Evangels on the strength of two goals by Henrique Sousa in Sooner Athletic Conference action Friday afternoon (Oct. 21) in Claremore, Okla.

After Mohammed Shaban put the Hillcats in front 1-0 in the 21st minute of the first half, Sousa broke through early in the second with his first score at the 47:22 mark. 

Sousa then put it away with his second score just eight minutes later for the three-goal margin. 

RSU out-shot the Evangels 17-4 overall and 9-1 on-goal.  Willy Deleon had half of those shots with two for MACU, while Sousa had a match-high five shots and four shots-on-goal to pace the Hillcats. 

Zane Bourne made six saves in the net for the Evangels and RSU's Nathan Inger stopped the lone shot-on-goal he faced. 

The Evangels will host Oklahoma City in their home finale on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 25) at 4 p.m. at Evangel Field.
