OKLAHOMA CITY -- After failing to win a conference game last year, the Mid-America Christian University Evangels continue their turnaround as they have secured the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament and will host John Brown University on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 3) at 2 p.m. at MACU Soccer Field.

It will mark the first time the Evangels have advanced to the SAC Tournament since joining the NAIA in 2008.

The Evangels (9-5-2, 3-3-2 SAC) played the John Brown Golden Eagles (7-6-2, 3-4-1 SAC) to a 1-1 tie here in the home season finale last Wednesday (Oct. 24).

Meanwhile, the MACU Lady Evangels (8-8, 3-5 SAC) have also qualified as the sixth seed in the SAC Tournament and will play at No. 3 seed Oklahoma Baptist University (7-7-1, 5-2-1) Friday afternoon (Nov. 2) at 3 p.m. in Shawnee, Okla.

The OBU Lady Bison bested the Lady Evangels last Saturday (Oct. 27) in regular season finale 2-0 in Shawnee.
