Eagles Snap Evangels' Four-Game Winning Streak, 1-0

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Southwestern Christian University Eagles scored the only goal of the match in the second half to defeat the Mid-America Christian University Evangels 1-0 in a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup Friday afternoon (Oct. 18) at Putnam City West High School in Oklahoma City.  It was played at PCWS due to poor playing conditions at SCU.

The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Evangels, who fall to 8-4-1 overall and 3-3 in the SAC.

Adam Kay provided the Eagles with all the scoring they would need with a goal at the 58:43 mark of the second half.

The Evangels were out-shot 11-6 overall and 8-3 on-goal.

Tyler McIntosh made seven saves for MACU and Kyle Mickleburgh stopped three shots for SCU.

The Evangels will look to get back on a winning note at home against USAO on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 22) at 3 p.m.
