OKLAHOMA CITY -- Liam Madden's second goal with less than six minutes remaining proved to be just enough to allow the No. 14-ranked USAO Drovers to escape the Mid-America Christian University Evangels 4-3 in a competitive Sooner Athletic Conference matchup today (Oct. 23) at MACU Soccer Field.

Madden's first goal tied the score at the 58:15 mark after Raphael Bonelle put in a penalty kick and then assisted on Gleydson Neri's second goal to put the Evangels on top 3-2 just over a minute into the second half.

Ogba Ubredi had put the Drovers on top early with a goal in the eighth minute of the opening half.

Neri then tied the score on an assist from Darko Nikolic at the 15:23 point.

The Drovers grabbed the lead at the half when Harry Donaldson scored in the 36th minute to make it 2-1.

USAO (14-2, 7-0 SAC) out-shot the Evangels (5-8-1, 1-5-1 SAC) 25-15 overall and 12-6 on-goal.

Tyler McIntosh stopped eight shots in the net for MACU, while Austen Parker recorded three saves for the Drovers.

The Evangels will next play at Soutwestern Christian University on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 27) at 4 p.m. in Bethany, Okla.
