San Antonio, Texas – After nearly 109 minutes of scoreless action, Hugo Plascencia broke through to give the Our Lady of the Lake University Saints a dramatic 1-0 win in double-overtime win over the Mid-America Christian University Evangels today (Sept. 3) at OLLU Soccer Field in San Antonio, Texas.

Plascencia's game-winning goal came at the 108:58 mark off an assist from Nickolas Tyrpak.

Jakob O'Meara'Gill recorded a career-best seven saves in the net to help the Evangels hang in despite being out-shot 20-9 overall and 9-4 on-goal. Igor Nunes do Nascimento had four saves for the Saints.

Vinny Vilela led the Evangels (0-3) with three shots, while Darko Nikolic and Justin Camacho each had two shots.

Next up, the Evangels will host Southwestern (Kan.) College next Saturday (Sept. 10) at 3 p.m.
