OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Men's Soccer Evangels have signed Giovanni Sosa for the 2017 season.

The Tyler, Texas native was a two-year varsity player for Tyler Lee High and then spent two seasons at Richland Junior College in Dallas, TX, where his team twice reached the National JUCO Finals.

Sosa was also selected for the Alianza National Selection Team that was held in Florida.  Alianza travels to 12 U.S cities and hand selects players out of 9,500 registered participants.

He is the son of Pablo Sosa and Maria Cruz.

"Giovanni is a fantastic playmaker," MACU Men's Soccer Co-Head Coach Evan Dresel said.

"We got to see him live and were impressed with his vision and ability to keep possession of the ball.  We see him playing a big role for us next year."
