MACU Men's Soccer Inks Four New Signees for 2017 Season

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Men's Soccer Evangels have added four newcomers to the program for the 2017 season.

The newcomers are: Oliver May, Rai Ramus, Roger Peron and Bruno Bandiera.

All four of the new additions played together for two years at a Junior College in California prior to signing for MACU. The season before their arrival, the program had only managed one win, but with the arrival of May, Ramus, Peron and Bandiera, the team has gone 28-9-5.

May, an Academic All-American and first-team All-Conference player, has played in all but two games in his time there and has proved to be a vital member of the team on and off the field.

Ramus, an outside midfielder, has been the spark that has transformed the teams attacking ability, comfortably reaching double digits in goals and assists.

Peron, who is also an Academic All-American, has held down the midfield and controlled games with impressive displays over the last two years and was of huge importance to the defensive efforts of the Junior College in CA.

Bandiera, originally from the capital of Brazil, is an athletic forward who uses his speed and technical ability to create chances for himself and the players around him. He was awarded the Marlon Hall Jr. Memorial award, given to the best student athlete at his current college and was also an Academic All-American selection.

"We have added four fantastic players who all play soccer the right way," MACU Men's Soccer Co-Head Coach Evan Dresel said. "They are a very technical bunch and can change games in an instant. We hope for big things for all of them in their time at MACU."
