  • Mid-America Christian had to battle back from a 1-0 halftime deficit against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday, but scored three goals in the second half to come away with a 3-2 victory against the Rams.
  • The Evangels have shown to be a team that has made strong second half adjustments throughout the season thus far. After outscoring TWU 3-1 on Saturday, MACU has outscored its opponents 28-8 in the second half and overtime while just holding a 13-7 margin in first halves this season.
  • Since seeing his first action of the season against Lyon, junior forward Jack Price has been an offensive spark for the Evangels. In nine matches, Price has efficiently scored five goals on 10 shots while also recording a pair of assists for 12 points. In the win against the Rams, Price scored the game-tying goal at the start of the second half to start the MACU offensive onslaught.
  • The Evangels have been challenged in the last four matches, but MACU has been able to win four straight one-goal games. In those four games, MACU has rallied from deficits in two of them while keeping teams from finding an equalizer in the other two contests.

  • Wayland Baptist is coming off a big road win at Science & Arts on Saturday, as the Pioneers pitched a 2-0 shutout to improve to 3-0-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
  • With 11 points, the Pioneers sit in fourth in the SAC standings, one point behind John Brown after the Golden Eagles snapped Oklahoma Panhandle State's undefeated run in SAC play on Monday. The Aggies and Evangels sit atop of the standing with 15 points apiece.
  • The Pioneers will be led offensively by senior midfielder Marco Magnoli, who ranks eighth in the SAC in total points with 22 off of eight goals and six assists. While the Pioneers have split time at goalkeeper this season, WBU has been getting strong play out of Ilkkan Sahin as of late, coming off back-to-back shutout wins in the last two weeks.
  • While Wayland Baptist has won eight of the first 15 meetings, the Evangels have fared well against the Pioneers as of late, winning the last four. The last time the two teams met in Plainview, the Evangels battled back from a 1-0 deficit, getting a 38^th minute goal from Rodrigo Albuquerque before Fabian Forisch notched the game-winner in the 71^st minute on Oct. 1, 2019.
