  • Mid-America Christian is coming off a thrilling come-from-behind victory at Wayland Baptist, as the Evangels scored two goals in 37 seconds during the 74^th minute to secure the 2-1 victory on Oct. 19.
  • Luan Cesar led the way with a goal and an assist for three points, giving him 16 for the season while Cesar Ramirez netted his team-leading third game-winning goal of the campaign.
  • The Evangels were the first team in the NAIA to reach 14 wins during the 2021 season.
  • With just three matches left in the regular season, MACU currently sits in a tie for first place atop of the Sooner Athletic Conference table after Oklahoma Panhandle State won a 2-1 overtime match at home against Texas Wesleyan on Friday.

  • John Brown is coming off a big win over SAC co-leader Oklahoma Panhandle State on Monday, topping the Aggies by a 4-0 decision. In that victory, Kendall Acuna put across the game-winner in the 62^nd minute.
  • The Golden Eagles will be led by one of the top scorers in the Sooner Athletic Conference in Jacob Zamarron, who has netted 13 goals with three assists for 29 points. A good portion of the JBU offense will run through him and Oscar Carballo, who netted his third and fourth goals of the season against the Aggies.
  • After getting that win, JBU solidified their spot for third in the SAC standings with 12 points on a 4-2 league mark.
  • While John Brown leads the all-time series, the Evangels will be seeking their fourth straight win against the Golden Eagles. The last time the two teams met, MACU rallied from a goal down in the second half as Cesar Ramirez netted the equalizer in the 63^rd minute before Rodrigo Albuquerque booted in the winner in the 82^nd minute.
