  • Team Notes:
    • Tuesday's matchup will feature the Sooner Athletic Conference's top offense against the league's best defense as John Brown enters the match with an SAC-best 3.91 goals per game average. JBU has featured excellent offensive distribution by tallying a SAC-high 51 assists on its 43 total goals scored.
    • The Golden Eagles are led by two of the leading goal-scorers in the SAC in Jacob Zamarron and Oscar Carballo. Zamarron leads the SAC in both goals scored (11) and total points (28) while Carballo ranks tied for second in total goals (10) and third in points (26).
    • The John Brown goalkeeping efforts has been a collective effort between sophomore Kyle Hix and freshman Adam Tebbs. Hix, who was the team's starter for the first four matches, returned to the lineup against the Stars, allowing just one goal and made a pair of saves in the 5-1 victory over the Stars. Hix this season owns a 3-0-1 record in-goal and boasts a 1.46 goals allowed average as well as a .632 save percentage. Tebbs, who started the six previous matches has boasted even better numbers, allowing just 1.40 goals a match on an .805 save percentage.
    • Even though John Brown owns a 10-5-1 lead in the all-time series, Mid-America Christian has dominated the series as of late, winning the last five meetings. The last time the two teams met was in the Sooner Athletic Conference Semifinal on Nov. 8, 2021 as the Evangels cruised to a 5-0 victory with five different Evangels getting involved in the goal-scoring with Rodrigo Albuquerque, Luan Cesar, Adrian Heinle, Ricardo Ferreira and Simon Wieschemann all getting involved. The MACU defense also stifled the high-octane Golden Eagles offense, limiting the squad to just eight shots with only one landing on-frame.
