  • Team Notes:
    • Friends is seeing its first action in 10 days as the Falcons are coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw at home to John Brown on Sept. 7. In that contest, Friends defensively stifled the Golden Eagles, holding JBU to only seven shots with three landing on-target.
    • After opening the season with a 4-1 loss at Benedictine and a 3-1 defeat at home to Briar Cliff, the Falcons have put together back-to-back strong performance in a pair of draws as they also played No. 14 William Penn to a 2-2 tie at Austin-Adair Stadium on Sept. 1. On the brink of defeat, Jose Quiel netted the game-tying goal with just under four minutes remaining in the contest.
    • Quiel along with junior forward Eddy Rachedi have provided a bulk load of the Friends offense so far this season, combining to score three of the team's five goals this season. So far this season, Arturo Pombo-Palomero has started three of the Falcons four games this season in-goal as he enters the contest with an 0-1-2 record with a 2.33 goals allowed average.
    • Since the two teams started facing each other in 2013, Mid-America Christian has fared well against Friends by going 4-0 in the first four meetings. After a one-year hiatus, MACU is once again playing the Falcons after defeating its visitor from the north 5-1 at the Dill Soccer Field on Aug. 31, 2021 before handing Friends a 5-0 defeat on its home pitch on Aug. 30, 2022.
