  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian had to battle back from a late deficit to avoid its first home loss since Mar. 23, 2022 to Williams Baptist on Monday as a late run of play allowed Josh Macklin to net his first career goal, which ended up being the equalizer in the 88th minute in a 1-1 draw against the Eagles.
    • Enzo Nogue and Federico Palacios were credited with the assists on Macklin's match-maker as the team captain for the Evangels boosted his team-leading point total to six on the season with his second dime. Palacios' assist was his second of the year to be tied for the team-lead while marking his career total at seven just 23 games into his young MACU career.
    • Making his first start at goal of the season, senior goalkeeper Alvaro Morera turned in a solid .750 save percentage for the match by making a trio of saves while allowing just one goal.
    • The Monday matchup featured a pair of teams that were the regular season winners of their conferences last season as Mid-America Christian captured their third-straight Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title last season while Williams Baptist claimed the American Midwest Conference regular season championship.

    • Marko de Sa Faria – SO – GK
      • 1-1 W-L, 2.00 GAA, 3 Saves, .500 SV%
  • Team Notes:
    • Ottawa is battle-tested entering Saturday's match as the 11th-ranked Evangels are the Braves' third ranked foe of the season. After opening the season with a 3-1 defeat to No. 16 William Penn (Iowa) and 5-2 loss to No. 6 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), OU notched its first victory with a 3-0 win at Culver-Stockton on Sept. 4.
    • A bulk of the Braves scoring has run through the two-man tandem of Cale Scott and Alonso Basauri, who have combined to score four of Ottawa's six goals this season with two apiece.
    • Sophomore goalkeeper Marko de Sa Faria has seen most of the minutes in-goal this season for OU as the stop enters the match with a 2.00 goals allowed average and is saving just 50-percent of the on-target attempts.
    • Mid-America Christian and Ottawa will be facing each other for just the second time in the two programs' respective histories after meeting for the first time last season in Ottawa. In that match on Aug. 26, 2023, the Evangels grinded out a hard-fought 1-nil victory on Kolby Godbolt's game-winner in just the 10th minute off the assists from Jimmy Cabrera and Henry Tolbert. It was a tough physical contest as a pair of red cards, one for each team forced 10-on-10 soccer for the final 39 minutes of the match.
