  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian makes its return to the NCCAA Central Region Tournament for the first time since 2019 after narrowly missing out on the NAIA Tournament field, wrapping up Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament play in the Semifinal round with an overtime loss at John Brown.
    • Last time MACU competed in the NCCAA Central Region Tournament, the Evangels dominated Southwestern Christian 6-3 in the title tilt to receive the Central Region bid to the NCCAA National Championships. The Evangels ran through the tournament field to capture the program's first national title.
    • While Ryan Jeanfreau and Haruya Higuchi have carried a bulk load of MACU's offensive attack, scoring 14 of the Evangels' 28 goals this season, Papa Toure has played a much bigger role in MACU's offensive attack as of late, scoring two goals in the last three games, including the game-winner in the regular season finale against Texas Wesleyan and the go-ahead goal early in the second half against JBU.
    • Overall, the Evangels had five players earn All-SAC accolades at the conclusion of the tournament, as Lucas Catosso garner SAC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team honors along with Ryan Jeanfreau, Haruya Higuchi, and Dante Caffaro while Jimmy Cabrera was named a Second Team honoree.

  • Team Notes:
    • With Dallas Christian trailing 2-0 at the half against Ecclesia in the NCCAA Central Region Play-in game, the Crusaders battled back by netting two second half goals before a lighting issue at the facility forced the remainder of the game to be finished at South Lakes Park in Oklahoma City.
    • With only 12 minutes left in regulation, the two teams went to overtime before DCC's David Rivas ripped a stellar right-side strike off a failed clearance into the bottom left corner of the goal to seal the thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind win with only 1:32 left in the second overtime period.
    • Offensively, the Crusaders are led by sophomore center-midfielder Kevin Jacinto, who has netted five of DCC's 14 goals this season. Defensively, Cristiano Castillo started most of the games in-goal for the Crusaders during the first half of the season before freshman Sebastian Guerrero won the starting job in the second half, posting a 2.53 goals allowed average and saving .723 percent of the shots on-frame.
    • Mid-America Christian and Dallas Christian will be facing each other for the first time since the 2018 season as the Evangels dominated the last meeting with a 12-1 victory. In that match, Tiuri Schieving, Simon Van Rheeden, Rai Ramus, and Kieran Chance all notched a brace to lead the scoring efforts while eight different players scored for MACU.
