Allan Sorato is entering the 2022 season in his second year with the MACU men's soccer program and will be serving his first year as the varsity reserve head coach.
In his first season as an assistant coach in 2021, the Evangels put together one of the most successful seasons in program history, turning in a team-record best 19-1-1 (.929) overall record while winning both the Sooner Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
Sorato returned to his roots after completing a stellar playing career with the Evangels. The native of Rio de Janiero, Brazil competed with the Evangels in 2018 and 2019, ending his career as the program's fourth-leading goal scorer (20) along with also holding the fourth-best point total (48) and seventh-most shots (95).
Sorato played a pivotal role in Mid-America Christian's NCCAA National Championship run during the 2019 season as he scored four goals at the NCCAA National Championships, including two in the championship game to help lead the Evangels past Grace (Ind.) 5-0 on Dec. 7, 2019.
In 2019, Sorato earned All-SAC First Team honors after scoring the third-most goals in a single-season (15) as well as notching the fifth-best single-season point total (36).
Previously, Sorato competed for Florida National, helping lead the Conquistadors to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship in 2017.
Sorato received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Administration from MACU in May 2020. Sorato owns a national "D" coaching license.
