After serving as an assistant coach for the MACU men's soccer reserve team last season, Lopez has been elevated to the head coach of both the reserve team and JV squads for the 2024 season.
Joining the MACU staff in 2023, Lopez helped guide the men's soccer reserve team to an 8-7-2 record while the Evangels finished second in the inaugural Sooner Athletic Conference Reserve Team Tournament at the Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas on Oct. 9-10.
Along with joining the Evangels, Lopez also joined the coaching staff with the North Oklahoma City Soccer Club in August of 2023, a position he still holds to this day as well as still currently serves as the head boys' soccer coach at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Oklahoma City since 2021. During the 2023 season, Lopez helped guide the Fighting Irish to an 11-2 season while advancing all the way to the Class 5A State Semifinal.
Previously, Lopez served as the boys' soccer assistant coach at Southeast High School during the 2020-21 school year.
Lopez is no stranger to the Sooner Athletic Conference as he signed to compete for the St. Gregory's men's soccer team before the university closed its doors in 2017.
