Adam Stanek is entering into his seventh year as the Sports Information Director at Mid-America Christian for the 2025-2026 athletic year. Stanek will serve as the primary sports contact for men's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track & field, men's basketball, and softball.
In 2024-25, Stanek continued to spearhead MACU's Sports Information staff, serving as the primary sports media contact for all of MACU's 11 sports. In his role, Stanek was responsible for the management of MACU's statistical implementation, website and social media management as well as livestream operations while also serving as the play-by-play broadcaster for volleyball and the PA announcer for baseball and softball.
On-top of spearheading the operations for hosting the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Championship and NAIA Men's Soccer First and Second Round, Stanek was also an active participant in the management of multiple SAC Championships, including serving as the official statistician of the SAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, and official statistician as well as PA announcer of the SAC Softball Championships (hosted by OCU).
Stanek played an integral role in the coverage of MACU's sports in capturing the SAC Commissioner's Cup for the second-straight year as the Evangels became the first institution in the league to win the prestegious award twice in just the third year of the existence of the trophy. Stanek is instrumental in the coverage of the men's soccer team capturing its fourth-straight SAC regular season title, the women's soccer team earning its first ever SAC regular season championship, as well as Esports winning three NACE season championships, two in Rocket League and one in Overwatch 2 as well as NACE tournament titles in Rocket League in the fall and Overwatch 2 in the spring.
Stanek was once again an integral part of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), as he helped spearhead the All-Region Teams for men's soccer, women's basketball, and softball as well as served as one of the official statisticians for the NCCAA Softball World Series in Grapevine, Texas. Stanek also again served as one of the official statisticians for the Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic hosted at Devon Park from Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
Selected as the SAC Sports Information Director of the Year for 2024-25, Stanek became the first SID since the introduction of the award in 2014 to receive the honor three times (2020-21, 2022-23, 2024-25).
Over the course of 2023-24 year, Stanek played an integral role in providing coverage for MACU's 10 varsity sports with the addition of men's and women's cross country and esports in the fall of 2023.
During the 2023-24 seasons, Mid-America Christian put together one of its most successful all-around years, winning the program's first ever SAC Commissioner's Cup. Overall, MACU won SAC regular season and tournament championships in men's soccer and baseball while finishing in the top four of the conference standings in eight of its nine sponsored varsity sports. During the year, Stanek played a vital role in the Evangels hosting the NAIA Men's Soccer First and Second Rounds for the second-straight year as well as hosting the NCCAA Women's Volleyball Central Region Championship. On-top of his work at MACU, Stanek also served as one of the official statisticians for the Fifth Annual Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic at the USA Softball Hall of Fame in March as well as served as a statistician and PA announcer for the SAC Softball Tournament at Oklahoma City University in May.
At the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, Stanek was selected as the Sooner Athletic Conference Sports Information Director of the Year, becoming the first SID within the league to receive the honor twice in the 10-year history of the award. Stanek also garnered the SAC SID of the Year following the 2020-21 athletic year, becoming the first MACU Sports Information Director to receive the accolade.
During the 2022-23 year, Stanek was instrumental in the coverage of its seven varsity sports, five of which qualified for either NAIA or NCCAA postseason play. Stanek played an important role in the MACU men's soccer team hosting its first ever NAIA Tournament Opening Round from Nov. 17-19, handling the statistical duties for the semifinals and the play-by-play commentary for the championship game. Stanek was also highly involved in the planning and hosting of the 2022-23 SAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships from Feb. 27-28, primarily handling statistics and social media. Over the course of the year, Stanek was heavily involved at the SAC, NCCAA and NAIA levels, serving as a statistician for the Fourth Annual Hosea Bell Red Dirt Softball Classic at the USA Softball Hall of Fame on Mar. 3-4, acting as the PA announcer and official statistician for the SAC Softball Tournament at Oklahoma City University from May 5-7 and assisted the NCCAA Central Region balloting, voting and announcing processes for men's soccer, women's basketball and softball.
In the 2021-22 campaign, Stanek provided coverage for a MACU Athletics program that saw seven teams compete in either NAIA or NCCAA national tournament competition, which included four programs putting together their winningest seasons since joining the NAIA in 2008. Stanek also served as one of the planners and media liaison for the SAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships hosted by the institution from Feb. 28-Mar. 1. Stanek was also very active at the conference and NCCAA levels, serving as the PA announcer and official statistician for the SAC Softball Tournament hosted by Oklahoma City as well as one of the statisticians for the 3rd Annual Hosea Bell Red Dirt Classic hosted by Langston at the USA Softball Hall of Fame. Stanek also assisted the facilitation of the NCCAA Central Region balloting, voting and announcements for men's soccer and women's basketball while also establishing the MACU Athletics Instagram account.
During the 2020-21 season, Stanek was an active member both at an institutional and conference level. During the fall, Stanek spearheaded MACU's transition from conducting its athletic streaming from YouTube to the SAC Sports Network, becoming one of the inaugural members of the streaming platform that now hosts nearly all of the league's full-time members. Stanek has also started the implementation of creating both digital and PDF record books for all seven of MACU's varsity sports while also expanding the website's coverage to its three non-varsity sports as well.
In the spring, Stanek became the full-time play-by-play broadcaster for the MACU baseball, softball and volleyball programs while also serving as one of the official statisticians at the Red Dirt Softball Classic at the USA Softball Hall of Fame in March. Stanek was also the official statistician and handled press box operations at both the SAC Softball Championships and the NAIA Opening Round at Oklahoma City University in May. Stanek also provided video and social media graphics production at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Rose Creek Golf Club in Edmond, Oklahoma in May.
During the summer of 2020, Stanek led the charge toward the expansion of MACU's Team of the Decade to all seven of its varsity sports, as well as golf. Stanek was primarily involved in selecting the nominees, served on the selection board and publicized the results on MACU Athletics' website and social media accounts as well as created a new section on the website to list all of MACU's Team of the Decade honorees.
In his first year with the Evangels in 2019-20, Stanek was responsible all statistical reporting and operations of the MACU Athletics website and social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter). Stanek was also charged with producing live streams for the program's seven sports, which included play-by-play commentary for select baseball and softball games on-top of producing MACU Athletics feature articles for Mid-America Christian's quarterly publication, the Mid-American.
Prior to coming to MACU, Stanek was the Coordinator of Sports Information and Media at Eastern New Mexico University for the 2018-19 academic year. Stanek served as the Greyhounds' primary media contact for volleyball, cross country, men's basketball, baseball and track & field during his time in Portales.
Stanek started at ENMU in September 2018 and played a vital role in improving the operations of the sports information office where he contributed to the website re-design for goeasternathletics.com, which launched in May of 2019. Stanek was also charged with the operations of the ENMU video board at all home events at Greyhound Stadium as well as managing the video streams and replay systems.
Prior to ENMU, Stanek served as the Field Support Operational Manager for Global Franchise Opportunities, a franchising company based in Pompano Beach, Florida. Stanek managed the franchising company's digital marketing, home office operations as well as franchisee consultation for one of the largest home inspection franchises in Canada. Stanek also served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Keiser University in West Palm Beach in the fall of 2017 before moving into his role at GFO.
Before moving to Florida in the fall of 2017, Stanek served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for Arkansas Tech University, an NCAA Division II institution based out of Russellville, Arkansas for two years. In his role, Stanek was the primary digital media producer for the athletic department, handling all of the produced video content, including: highlight reels, previews, student-athlete interviews, coaches' shows, promotional videos and managed event live streams. Stanek was the primary sports contact for the cross country, golf and tennis programs.
Stanek was previously the Sports Information Graduate Assistant for Winona State University, an NCAA Division II institution located in Winona, Minnesota for the 2014-15 athletic year. Stanek was the primary multimedia specialist for the Winona State Athletic Department, producing all video content for the WSU Athletics YouTube page and website, as well as serving as the primary sports contact for the cross country, volleyball, men's basketball, baseball and track & field.
Stanek attended Winona State University from 2005-2009 before coming back to his alma mater to pursue a Master's degree in Sports Management in 2014. As an undergraduate at Winona State, Stanek was highly involved with WSU Athletic Department as a student journalist and broadcaster. Stanek reported on Warrior athletic events as a sports reporter for the WSU student newspaper, The Winonan, was a play-by-play and color commentator for WSU football, basketball and baseball games on top of being an analyst for the weekly sports talk show, "The KQAL Sports Rundown." Stanek also served as a sports anchor, reporter and videographer for WSU News 24, a student-run news broadcast that aired on a local Hiawatha Broadband Communications cable channel.
Stanek is a member of the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) and currently lives in Oklahoma City. Stanek received his B.A. in Mass Communication: Broadcasting from Winona State in May 2014.
