Asley (Baker) Grulkey is entering into her second season as the Assistant Coach for the MACU Women's Soccer team for the 2026 campaign.
In her first season as a coach, the Evangels marched a step further in NAIA postseason play as it qualified for the NAIA Tournament for the second straight year and achieved their first tourney victory with a 6-0 win over Talladega in the First Round. MACU wrapped up the 2025 season with a 12-5-3 overall record and placed in a tie for third in Sooner Athletic Conference play with a 5-1-3 league mark.
The Evangels notched some big results over the course of the season, including picking up a 2-2 draw against SAC Champion No. 10 John Brown and a 3-2 win over Red River Athletic Conference Champion, LSU Shreveport.
Grulkey joined MACU for her senior season before the 2024 campaign, where she helped lead the Evangels to their first SAC Championship. During that campaign, MACU finished the year with a 14-4-2 record while the team finished in a three-way tie for the SAC regular season crown with an 8-1 league mark. As a result, the Evangels qualified for their first NAIA Tournament.
Due to her efforts, scoring three goals and dishing out four assists, Grulkey was named the SAC Newcomer of the Year while being placed on the All-SAC First Team and was also named an NCCAA Second Team All-American.
Before coming to MACU, Grulkey played her first three years of college soccer at NCAA D-II Oklahoma Baptist, where she helped guide the Bison to the 2023 Great American Conference Championship as well as the 2021 GAC Tournament Championship while being named an All-GAC First Team honoree during her junior campaign.
Outside of MACU, Grulkey serves as the Co-Head Coach for the Oklahoma Celtic 2012 girls team.
Grulkey is the older sister of current MACU Evangel, Brae Baker, who she was teammates with in her last season at OBU and the 2024 season at MACU.
