Jacob Owens

Jacob Owens will be entering into his second year as the MACU softball play-by-play broadcaster for the upcoming 2025 season as well as serve as the weekend play-by-play commentator for the MACU men's and women's soccer teams during the 2024 campaign.

During the spring of 2024, Owens became the voice of the MACU softball team as he provided the play-by-play duties for a program that rose to prominence under first year head coach Jim Gasso as the Evangels finished the year with a 37-17 overall record and posted a program Sooner Athletic Conference record in wins after going 27-9 in league play to finish third in the conference standings.

On-top of his voice work with MACU, Owens also served as the voice of the SAC Softball Tournament at the Oklahoma City site, where he called the SAC Championship game as well as did play-by-play for the NAIA Softball Tournament at Oklahoma City University.

Owens is an alumni of Mid-America Christian University earning his Associate's of Science degree. Owens currently serves as the lead pastor for Outreach Prayer Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma and in the fall will join the KREF broadcasting crew for Deer Creek High School, starting with fastpitch softball, football and volleyball.
