Kyle Highfill is entering his fifth year as the Coordinator of Athletic Operations for the MACU Athletic Department for 2025-26.
Highfill primarily serves as in the role of MACU Athletics game day operations, which includes event setup, student worker scheduling, and serving as the on-site liaison for the visiting teams and officials. Highfill is also responsible for managing the O'Brien Training Center weight room as well as the athletic department's administrative duties. Highfill has also been an instrumental piece in creating graphics content for the Gaulke Activity Center as well as producing graphic content for MACU Athletics social media to go along with coordinating MACU Athletics media days.
In his first year in the role, Highfill was instrumental in the planning, preparation and event operations of the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships that was hosted by MACU from February 28 to March 1, 2022.
During the 2022-23 year, Highfill was tasked with the preparation of the SAC Men's and Women's Basketball Championships once again at MACU on Feb. 27-28 inside the Gaulke Activity Center while also being a key planner for the first ever NAIA Men's Soccer Opening Round hosted at the Dill Soccer Field from Nov. 17-19.
Highfill was once again an instrumental part in the organization of several championship events on the MACU campus during the 2023-24 athletic year, which included the Evangels hosting their second-straight NAIA Men's Soccer Tournament First and Second Round at the Dill Soccer Field on Nov. 16-18, fourth-consecutive SAC Men's Soccer Championship match on Nov. 9 and the NCCAA Volleyball Central Region Championship on Nov. 15.
In 2024-25, the Evangels once again hosted the NAIA Tournament First and Second Round at the Dill Soccer Field on Nov. 23 as well as hosted SAC Quarterfinal rounds in men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball and baseball, including the SAC Championship in men's soccer on Nov. 12.
Before moving into a full-time role, Highfill served as an Athletics Administrative Assistant from January 2018 to May 2021, where he prepared facilities for game days, scheduled student employees, managed schedules for most of MACU's varsity and junior varsity athletic programs as well as handled paperwork for the athletic department.
Highfill also served as a Storm Chaser for the Oklahoma City Thunder from August 2018 to July 2019, where he connected with fans, ran on-court promotions as well as handled setup and tear down for athletic events inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Highfill graduated from MACU in May 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management and earned his Master's of Science in Leadership in May 2023. As an undergraduate, Highfill was a member of the Ironman Leadership program for four years, a leader for New Student Orientation for three years as well as served as a both a Resident Assistant and Intramural Director for one year. Highfill resides in Newcastle with his wife, Aubrey and his son, Myles.
