OKLAHOMA CITY - The two individual golfers representing the Mid-America Christian University women's golf team hit the links for the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship on Friday for the first round of the event. The two Evangels, Kirstin Westlake and Hannah Price, finished the day in the middle of the pack.

Westlake shot a front nine 41 on her way to a round of 85, which ties her for 31st at the tournament's halfway point, and Price finished one stroke behind her with an 86 and is tied for 34th.

After back-to-back bogeys to start the day, Westlake found a rhythm starting on the third hole. She parred six of the next seven holes and posted an outward nine of 41. She managed three more pars on the back side on her way to an 85. Price had three pars on each nine, and she shot 44 on the front nine and 42 on the back.

The Championship will conclude with an 18-hole round on Saturday morning.
