GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the second week in a row, a Mid-America Christian volleyball player received the top weekly honor from the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) as Hanna Foecker was tabbed as the NCCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday.

After the award went to MACU for Maegan Plunk's defensive efforts a few weeks ago at Oklahoma Wesleyan, this time Foecker earned the accolade for her offensive efforts in a pair of three-set sweeps at the Friends (Kan.) Tri-Match last Tuesday.

A 6-2 outside hitter from Sudlohn, Germany, Foecker finished the week with 60 kills, averaging 6.67 kills per set on a .377 attack percentage between the two matches. Foecker was also stellar from the service line, notching six service aces.

In the win over Bethel (Kan.), Foecker tied her own program NAIA three-set match kills record with 21, equalizing her record-setting performance last season in a three-set sweep on Oct. 14, 2019 against Wayland Baptist.

When Foecker returned to the floor in the nightcap against the Friends Falcons, she was even more efficient in her attack, tallying 19 kills on a .436 attack percentage, committing just two attack errors on 39 attempts while turning in a season-high five aces. The five aces marked her second-best career output from the service line, placing only behind the seven she put down against Piedmont International (N.C.) in last season's NCCAA National Championships.

Since moving up to the Division I level in 2007, Foecker became just the third Evangels player to receive the NCCAA weekly award, joining Plunk and Hannah Lynch, who received the accolade on Aug. 29, 2016.

Mid-America Christian will return to its home court for the first time in nearly a month on Thursday, Oct. 1 as the Evangels will be hosting Arlington Baptist. The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start inside the Gaulke Activity Center.
