OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian volleyball team will be looking to keep the momentum rolling into its road trip this weekend as the Evangels will head to McPherson, Kan. on Friday to take on Central Christian before heading to Langston, Okla. on Saturday to challenge the Lions.
Friday night's match is slated for a 7 p.m. start while Saturday's contest will open serve at 1 p.m.

- Mid-America Christian went 3-0 inside the Gaulke Activity Center last week, which included picking up its first win over No. 23 Oklahoma City since 2007 by a score of 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24) on Sept. 21. The Evangels followed it up with a pair of three-set sweeps over Southwestern Christian (25-16, 25-21, 25-14) on Sept. 23 and Oklahoma Wesleyan (25-23, 25-14, 25-21) on Sept. 25.
- The Evangels currently sit in a tie for fifth in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings, but are just two games back of SAC leader Wayland Baptist and 1.5 games back of second.
- Senior outside hitter Hanna Foecker continued her ascent up the NAIA leaderboards as her 5.09 kills per set moved into the national lead and is on-pace to be the first player in the NAIA to surpass 400 kills in 2021.

- Central Christian has struggled mightily so far this season as the Tigers are still looking for their first win of the season. The closest CCCK has come to picking up a win this year came on Sept. 21 as Langston rallied back for a 27-25 win in set four and a 15-11 victory in set five to grind out a five-set victory over the Tigers. It is the only match this season that Central Christian has played that went to five sets.
- The Tigers are coming off being swept at home against John Brown on Sept. 24 before dropping a three-set match in a non-conference matchup at Northwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday.
- CCCK has struggled mightily in the attack, ranking 11th to last in the NAIA in kills per set at 7.33 and ninth-to last in attack percentage at .029.

- Langston is coming off a tough five-set loss to Science & Arts at the C.F. Gayles Arena on Tuesday night with three of the sets being won by just two points and two going into extra points to decide a victor.
- Saturday's matchup will feature two of the best hitters in the nation as the Tigers are led by senior middle blocker Antonese Tatum. Currently, Tatum ranks fourth in the NAIA in total kills (276) and fifth in kills per set (4.52) while boasting an efficient .228 attack percentage.
- While the Evangels hold an 8-3 lead in the all-time series, the Evangels have dominated the matchups with Langston since 2016. MACU has won seven straight against LU, which includes an astounding 21-1 margin in sets won.
