OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian women's soccer team will be back at the Mike & Helen Dill Soccer Field for its first Sooner Athletic Conference home match on Saturday as the Evangels will host Science & Arts in a crucial conference matchup. The match is slated for a 5 p.m. kickoff.

  • Mid-America Christian is coming off a stellar offensive performance at Southwestern Christian on Tuesday, scoring five goals to cruise to a 5-1 victory.
  • Abigail McCain booted through the game-winning goal in the 24^th minute while Johanna Behrens, Veronica Lopez Cordero and Sylvie Willie all scored their first goals of the season in the match.
  • The Evangels return home after a three-match road stand to start Sooner Athletic Conference play. MACU was able to take care of business in all three matchups to be one of just three teams that are still undefeated in league play.
  • MACU will look to keep riding the momentum offensively. After scoring just 13 goals through the first six matches (2.16 gpg), the Evangels have put across 11 in the last three (3.67 gpg) and scored at least three goals in each of those matches.

  • Since suffering a 1-0 loss to Bethel (Tenn.) on Sept. 16, Science & Arts has won five straight matches and the Drovers have outscored their opponents 31-1 in that stretch.
  • USAO is coming off a 5-0 home win over Texas Wesleyan, as All-American Emma Rice led the team with a hat trick, scoring three goals to go with an assist.
  • Rice comes into the match as the nation's leading goal-scorer with 19 and has also amassed the most total points with 43.
  • Last season, the two teams split with each team winning on each other's home fields. The Evangels were able to pick up a 2-0 victory over the Drovers on Mar. 13 to finish second in the SAC standings before USAO knocked off Mid-America Christian by a score of 2-1 in the SAC Semifinals on Apr. 5.
  • The Evangels will be looking for their first win over the Drovers at the Mike & Helen Dill Soccer Field since Oct. 5, 2010 as MACU got a pair of goals from Kassie Byrd and one from Michelle Medina to come away with the 3-2 win.
