- Set One
- Mid-America Christian jumped out to a dominant start behind the serve of Kaylie Walker, scoring the first nine points of the set. During the run, Hanna Foecker put down three kills to go along with a Vanessa Moreira kill.
- After Langston countered with back-to-back points, the Evangels continued to add to their lead by tallying eight of the next 10 points, featuring three more Foecker kills to go with a pair of Maddie Callicoat kills, an Allison Porter kill and a Lena Stockhammer service ace to brought the MACU advantage to 17-4.
- The Lions managed to muster four unanswered in an attempt to claw their way back, but the Evangels finished strong, tallying eight of the final 11, including a four-unanswered run to end it to secure the 25-11 win.
- Set Two
- Langston was hot of the gate, notching four kills and a pair of service aces while the Evangels struggled to execute offensively, committing four errors to allow the Lions to jump out to a 10-4 edge.
- After Foecker and LU's Brieanna Owens traded kills, Mid-America Christian trimmed its deficit in half with three straight, as back-to-back kills by Foecker and Cloie Mitchell made it 11-8.
- LU managed to hold off the Evangels for the next five rallies, but another Foecker kill ignited a 5-1 run as MACU drew it even at 15-all on back-to-back Foecker put-downs.
- Langston managed to score the next three to reclaim an 18-15 lead, but Mid-America Christian surged back in-front and never looked back, outscoring the Lions 10-3 down the stretch as Moreira's set-point kill sealed a 25-21 victory for the Evangels.
- Set Three
- While the Lions appeared to get the upper hand early on, scoring five of the first seven points, MACU strung together a stellar 11-2 run as a setter dump by Stockhammer brought the Evangels' edge to 13-7 at the midway point.
- After a ball-handling error briefly thwarted the run, the Evangels recovered nicely with another 5-1 surge to stretch the lead to 18-9.
- Langston was unable to knock the MACU advantage below seven the rest of the way as the Evangels eventually ended it on a Moreira slam toward the back right corner to cap off the 25-16 win.
MATCH NOTES
- Mid-America Christian boasted its fourth-highest attack percentage of the season at .340 with 46 kills and just 10 attack errors on 106 attempts. On the flip side, the Evangels held Langston to just 24 kills on an .069 hitting clip.
- By recording 34 assists in the match, sophomore setter Lena Stockhammer surpassed Calle Solie for the most assists in a single season during the NAIA era. Stockhammer ended the night with 1134 dimes so far on the year, topping Solie's 2012 mark of 1130.
- Senior outside hitter Hanna Foecker had an excellent match in the attack, as she tied the fourth-most kills in a single match in the NAIA era with 22 on a .476 attack percentage, her second-highest hitting clip of the season. The Borken, Germany product also notched a double-double with 12 digs in the defense, marking her eighth of the season.
- Foecker is on the precipice of surpassing two more milestones as she needs just three kills to become the first player in the NAIA with 600 kills this season and just six more kills to notch her 1500th kill at Mid-America Christian.
- Senior libero Maegan Plunk led the MACU defense with 14 digs, bringing her season total to 585. Plunk needs to 13 more digs to tie Camera Broadnax for the third-most in a season and 15 more to set just the third 600-dig season since the program joined the NAIA in 2007.
- Mid-America Christian has now won nine straight matches against Langston and haven't lost to the Lions since the team joined the Sooner Athletic Conference in 2016.
- By getting their 13th conference win, the Evangels surpassed the 2019 team for the most SAC wins in a season. The 2019 team ended the year with 12-8 league mark to finish fifth in the standings.
