  • Mid-America Christian put together a strong scoring chance in the top of the second by putting runners at first and second on Long's walk and Camenda Osborn's single. With two outs, Brookelyn Gilmore smacked a single to center, but Long was thrown out at the plate to keep the game scoreless.
  • Long was able to get out of another jam in the second inning as she was able to get Sydney Carter to pop out with two outs after Langston maneuvered runners to second and third.
  • In the top of the third, the Evangels were finally able to break through. After Kylie Stubbs reached on a two-out infield single, Kassie Martin drove a double to center as Stubbs was able to score on an error by the center fielder to make it a 1-0 game.
  • After Olivia Roberts hit a single to put runners at the corners, Faith Hollingsworth drove in Martin on a single to left to stretch the lead to 2-0.
  • Langston was able to cut the MACU lead to one in the bottom of the fifth after LU's Nykiah Hines reached on a bunt for a base hit and Carter smashed a double to left to score her from first.
  • The Lions were able to put runners on the corners with no outs following a single from Gracelyn Rosales, but Long was able to induce a pair of pop-ups to go with a strikeout to limit the damage to just one run.

  • It was a pitchers' duel through the first five innings as neither team could cross home plate until the sixth inning.
  • Mid-America Christian generated the first run with some small ball. After Mikaylee Allen was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, Allen stole second and then got down to third off a SAC bunt. While Kassie Martin tried to execute a safety squeeze, Allen was able to sprint down to home after the Langston catcher tried to pick her off at third to give MACU the 1-0 advantage.
  • After Martin reached on a single and got down to third on a stolen base and a throwing error, Olivia Roberts drove her in on a single to left to extend the lead to two.
  • The Evangels added two more runs later in the inning on an error by the second baseman, allowing Allene Dennis and Faith Hollingsworth to come around to score to extend the MACU edge to 4-0.
  • MACU added two more in the top of the seventh on an RBI double from Martin and a SAC fly from Roberts to seal the 6-0 victory.
