Women’s Soccer Returns to Action to Take On Morningside

OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian women's soccer will see its first action in 11 days as the Evangels will host Morningside (Iowa) for a noon match at the Mike and Helen Dill Soccer Field on Saturday.

    • After Mid-America Christian suffered a pair of tough losses to two teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25, the Evangels bounced back with a strong 4-0 victory against Sterling despite having many key players out due to injury. In that win, both Rani Mueller and Alissa Taylor scored their first career goals while Abigail McCain notched her first game-winner in her second season with the program.
    • Redshirt junior forward Kyleigh Rushing has continued to be a big time goal producer for the Evangels in her third season of action and her fourth overall with the program. Rushing currently leads the team with four goals and with her fourth goal of the season against Sterling, became the eighth MACU player in program history to score 30 or more career goals.
    • MACU has been able to take strong advantage of playing at home thus far during the 2021 season. In three matches at the Mike & Helen Dill Soccer Field, the Evangels have composed a 3-0 record and are outscoring their opponents by a 10-3 margin.
