  • Rachel Eggleston's no-hitter is just the seventh since the program joined the NAIA in 2008 and is the first no-hitter thrown by an Evangels pitcher since Courtney Anderson tossed one in an 11-0 victory at Southwestern Christian on Apr. 30, 2018. Mid-America Christian pitching threw five no-hitters during the highly successful 2018 campaign.
  • Camenda Osborn led the MACU bats, swinging a blistering 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base. It was Osborn's first three-hit game of the season and just the second of her three-year Evangels career after going 3-for-4 with an RBI against Oklahoma Panhandle State on Mar. 20, 2021.
  • Mikaylee Allen continued to wreak havoc on the basepaths in her 2-for-2 performance as she finished with three stolen bases to go with a pair of runs scored, a walk and an RBI.

PITCHING DECISION SCORING SUMMARY TOP PERFORMERS GAME NOTES
  • Mid-America Christian scored its nine runs on nine hits while Ecclesia pushed across its lone run on five hits.
  • Avery Schneringer had a strong bounce-back in the circle, moving to 4-4 on the season after allowing just one earned run on five hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
  • After coming into the game with just two home runs on the season, Janessa Larman and Camenda Osborn smacked a pair of no-doubt homers to left in back-to-back at-bats in the third inning. For Larman, it was her second homer of the season while Osborn bashed her first of the season.
  • Cailey Parsells did a lot of damage in the lead-off spot. Going 1-for-1 with a triple, Parsells also drew three walks, stole four bases and scored three of MACU's nine runs.
  • Since the two teams started facing each other in 2013, Mid-America Christian is an unblemished 20-0 against Ecclesia. The 10-0 victory in game one was MACU's biggest margin of victory against the Royals since coming away with an 11-1 win at Allen Field on Apr. 1, 2017.
UP NEXT
  • Mid-America Christian will now return to Sooner Athletic Conference play this weekend for a crucial four-game series at Oklahoma Panhandle State. The series is slated to open on Friday with a 2 p.m. first pitch in Goodwell, Okla.
