    • In the win, TWU captured the lead in the 34th minute on a perfectly placed corner by Gracie Spradley to the head of Kiki Molinar, but the Evangels got the equalizer just before the half when Francesca Martella volleyed in Jasmine Morales' low line drive corner to make it a 1-all game at the break. Martella put in the game-winner in the 58th minute to secure the victory for MACU.
    • Despite the close result, Mid-America Christian dominated the possession, outshooting TWU 22-10 with a 10-2 margin in shots on-goal.
    • The Evangels have continued to remain balanced on the offensive end as the two-goal effort by Martella has four different MACU players netting at least four goals this season.

Bewley has netted half of her season goals in the last three matches, tallying a pair of hat tricks in a 4-0 win at Oklahoma Panhandle State, a 3-0 victory over Wayland Baptist and a season-best four goals in the victory over the Patriots on Tuesday.
    • On top of their offensive prowess, the Lady Lions are defensively the strongest in the SAC, allowing only seven goals all season and just two against league competition. SAGU is led in that defense by senior goalkeeper Zoe Boldt, who is boasting an astounding 0.66 goals allowed average and has tallied 48 saves for an incredible .873 save percentage.
    • Mid-America Christian will be looking to maintain its success against Southwestern Assemblies as the Evangels have won 16 of their previous 18 meetings since MACU joined the SAC in 2007.
