    • The Pioneers have struggled both offensively and defensively this season, ranking eighth in the SAC in goals per game (1.36) and are conceding the seventh-most goals per contest (2.64).
    • A bulk of the WBU attack runs through graduate student forward Giovanna Toledo Castro, who is the only player on the team with double-digit points off of five goals. Defensively, freshman goalkeeper Dayanara Torres has seen the bulk load of the playing time in-net, posting a 2.69 goals allowed average while saving .603 percent of the shots she's faced.
    • In the relatively even series, Mid-America Christian will be looking to snap a three-match winless streak against the Pioneers as well as avenge a 1-0 SAC Quarterfinal loss at home to WBU on Nov. 3, 2022. The last time MACU played at Wayland Baptist, the Evangels suffered a tough 2-1 defeat on Oct. 19, 2021. The Evangels will be seeking their first win in Plainview since coming away with a 6-0 victory on Sept. 26, 2017 as Brittney Stephens led five MACU goal scorers with a brace.
