CHICKSHA, OKLA. – Mid-America Christian baseball struggled to get the bats going in the series-opener against Science & Arts, recording a season-low two hits as the Drovers came away with a 7-1 win at Bill Smith Ballpark on Friday.

GAME NOTES
	- Mid-America Christian scored one run on two hits without committing any errors while USAO put up seven runs on 14 hits with one error.
- USAO opened things up in the third by scoring three runs on four base knocks. Nick Fleckenstein started things off with a single up the middle to bring in Ryan Rodriguez. Gabriel Arroyo followed up with a double to left field to score Fleckenstein making it 2-0. Christopher Martinez drove in the final run of the inning with a single to center to score Arroyo and make it 3-0 at the end of the three.
- The Drovers added another run to their line in the fourth as Ryan Duncan singled up the middle bringing in Gage Gaunt to extend the lead to 4-0.
- MACU finally notched its first hit of the ball game on a Noel McGarry-Doyle solo shot to left field to put the Evangels on the board to bring the score to 4-1.
- USAO struck again in the bottom of the eighth inning as Gage Gaunt doubled to center to score Peyton McDowall and Luke Lewis to grow the lead to 6-1.
- The Drovers had one more left in their bag as Ryan Duncan singled through the left side knocking in Gage Gaunt giving USAO a commanding lead of 7-1.
- The Evangels tied a season-low in hits as MACU struggled to find the barrel of the bat with their first hit coming in the sixth inning.
- Ryan Harney suffered his first loss on the hill this season pitching seven innings allowing a season-high seven runs on 13 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.
- The victory allowed the Drovers to record their third-straight victory over the Evangels and earn their first win in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
