  • Stat Leaders:
  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian is coming off one of its best defensive performances since joining the NAIA in 2007 after defeating Oklahoma Panhandle State 82-47 on Saturday. In the victory, the Evangels tied the program's single game blocks record with nine rejected shot attempts, the most since picking up a 69-55 win against St. Gregory's (Okla.) on Feb. 7, 2015. The 47 points allowed also marked the third-fewest allowed in a game, sitting just three back of last year's record of 44 set in a 56-44 win over John Brown (Ark.) inside the Gaulke on Jan. 12, 2023.
    • Leading MACU's blocking efforts in that game was Magok Manyang, as his five rejections is tied for the second-most in a single game. Manyang's marks sits only behind Chris Runnels, who tallied six rejections in a 101-95 victory over Philander Smith (Ark.) on Nov. 14, 2015. Overall, Manyang has blocked 14 shots in his last six games and currently sits in a three-way tie for eighth in MACU's NAIA Era season record book (26).
    • Overall, MACU's defense continues to rank as one of the best in the NAIA with its scoring defense sitting in 19th (66.7 ppg) while its field goal percentage defense is even better at 13th (39.2).
    • As a result of MACU's phenomenal week, MACU head coach Josh Gamblin was selected as the HoopDirt.com NAIA Coach of the Week. A weekly honor that was established prior to the start of the 2016-17 season, Coach Gamblin has received the honor four times, earning the Week 11 award in 2020-21, the Week 10 accolade in 2019-20 and the Week 14 honor in 2017-18.
