  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian competed in just its second Sooner Athletic Conference road contest of the season on Saturday as the Evangels dominated Texas Wesleyan to come away with the 3-1 at Martin Field to spoil the Lady Rams' Senior Day.
    • After sweeping the SAC Player of the Week awards last week, the sisters Asley Baker and Brae Baker swept the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week awards this week. Brae claimed the Offensive accolade after netting three goals and dishing out an assist for seven points while Asley helped spearhead a strong defensive outing that shut out then-SAC leader Oklahoma City on Tuesday before putting together another great performance at Texas Wesleyan with the lone goal conceded coming late in the contest against MACU's reserves.
    • On-top of getting the NCCAA Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week accolade, Asley was also selected as the SAC Defensive Player of the Week award for the second consecutive week.
    • The Evangels continue to stay in lock step with No. 19 John Brown and No. 23 Science & Arts for the SAC crown as the three teams are all even at 15 points (5-1) while Oklahoma City (13, 4-1-1) and Nelson (12, 4-2) are also not sitting far behind in the league standings in one of the most competitive SAC Championship races in recent history with just three games remaining.
SCOUTING REPORT

      • 3 Goals, 1 Assist, 7 Points, 21 Shots, 16 SOG, 1 GWG
    • Marta Papandrea – SO – GK
      • 2-6-4 W-L, 2.15 GAA, 48 Saves, .686 SV%, 4 SHO
  • Team Notes:
    • After going 1-1-4 in non-conference play, Southwestern Christian has struggled against SAC competition as the Eagles own a 1-5 record against league foes. However, the Eagles have been playing better soccer as of late, picking up a 2-0 win at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Tuesday and held a 1-0 lead over No. 23 Science & Arts with 18 minutes left before the Drovers scored three goals down the stretch to grab the 3-1 win at Cagle Field.
    • SCU has struggled to find much of an offensive attack within SAC play as the Eagles rank second-to-last in the league in goal scoring with only four goals and just three assists for 11 points.
    • Of the Eagles 14 goals scored as a team this season, a bulk load of the attack has come from freshman forward Hadley Mclanahan and junior forward Abbigail Johnson, who have combined for six of SCU's goals. Meanwhile, Marta Papandrea has logged every minute in goal this season for the Eagles, posting a 2-6-4 record with a 2.15 goals allowed average and has pitched four shutouts.
    • Mid-America Christian has dominated the all-time series against Southwestern Christian, but the Evangels narrowly survived suffering their first ever loss against the Eagles last season. With just 34 seconds remaining in the game, Annika Gerdau booted in the game-tying goal to salvage a 1-1 draw at Cagle Field. However, MACU owns an 8-0 record against SCU at the Dill Soccer Field with the last meeting at the venue ending in a 1-0 win on Francesca Martella's game-winner in the 80th minute.
