OKLAHOMA CITY – Coming off a dominant performance in its season-opener against Kansas Christian on Thursday, the MACU Men's Basketball team will be looking to keep the momentum going as the Evangels host crosstown foe Randall for a 7 p.m. tip-off inside the Gaulke Activity Center on Monday.

  • Mid-America Christian put together an all-around dominant performance in its season-opening 95-62 win over Kansas Christian on Thursday as the Evangels had six players score in double-figures and 11 different players break into the scoring column.
  • Juwan White was particularly great making his Evangels debut, scoring a team-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting to go with an incredible 7-to-1 assist-turnover ratio for the Texas A&M-International transfer.
  • Keeshawn Mason was also fantastic in his MACU debut, tying White with 15 points on a solid 7-of-12 shooting while Josiah Fulcher was another Evangels newcomer that impressed, narrowly missing a double-double with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting with a team-high eight boards and three assists.
  • MACU's returners also put together strong showings with Tarrence Gaines (14), Magok Manyang (10) and Quentin Woodson (8) combined for 32 points and 19 rebounds in the contest.

  • Much like the Evangels, Randall opened its season against Kansas Christian on Friday as the Saints came away with a 98-85 victory over the Falcons. The Saints are coming off a 2023-24 season where they went 9-15 overall.
  • Randall brings back almost its entire roster from last season, including its top five scorers, including NCCAA Division II Second Team All-American Braeson Barrs-Richardson, who averaged 20.6 points per game on a solid 45.5 percent shooting and 72.7 percent from the free throw line while also averaging 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists per contest.
  • Mid-America Christian has downright dominated the series since the 2018-19 season as the Evangels have won nine-straight games, including a pair of contests last season with a 79-59 win inside the Gaulke Activity Center on Oct. 30, 2023 before romping Randall on its home court by a score of 100-59 on Nov. 16, 2023.
