  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian survived a three-point scoring barrage from Randall in its last home game on Monday as the Saints came into the Gaulke and shot a blistering 13-for-26 (50 percent) from three-point range. However, the biggest different in the contest was MACU's ability to utilize its size to attack the paint, outscoring RU 50-16 from inside the painted area to come away with the 95-81 win.
    • In just two games with MACU, senior guard Josiah Fulcher has downright filled out the stat column. • Senior Juwan White has been a highly-prolific point guard in his first two games with MACU as well. Not only is White scoring at a solid 12.0 ppg on a team-best 69.2 percent shooting clip, but has put together an unbelievable 8-to-1 assist-turnover ratio in his first two contests.
    • While the Evangels newcomers have certainly made a massive impact, redshirt senior combo guard Tarrence Gaines has shined amongst MACU's returners so far. In his fifth season at MACU so far, Gaines is the team's leading rebounder, nearly averaging a double-double at 9.5 boards per game to go with a 15.5 ppg scoring average.

  • Team Notes:
    • Ozark Christian is coming off a solid 18-12 season competing at the NCCAA D-II level in 2023-24, but the Ambassadors had a tough finish to their campaign after suffering an 80-74 defeat to the College of Biblical Studies-Houston in the Southwest Region Quarterfinal in Joplin, Missouri on Feb. 29.
    • Overall, the Ambassdors to return a large portion of its scoring from last season's team with four of their top six scorers returning, headlined by senior guard Andre Johnson. • Even though MACU has dominated the all-time series against Ozark Christian, the Ambassadors have been able to put up a pretty tough fight inside the Gaulke Activity Center the last two seasons. After MACU grounded out a hard-fought 105-100 win back on Oct. 29, 2022, OCC managed to hang around after MACU grabbed a commanding halftime lead over the Ambassadors in last year's meeting with the Evangels eventually securing a 76-62 win.
