  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian picked up its first road win of the season with an impressive defensive performance at Oklahoma City as the Evangels held the second-best scoring offense in the Sooner Athletic Conference to a season-low 58 points in a 69-58 contest inside Abe Lemons Arena on Saturday.
    • To make the Evangels defensive outing against the Stars even more impressive, MACU held a 68-45 lead with three minutes left before OCU went on a 13-1 run to close out the game against MACU's reserves. Before this game, the Stars had not scored less than 66 points in a game.
    • One of the bright spots for MACU in the win against the Stars was the play of its bench as junior forward Morris Williams recorded his first double-digit scoring game in just his third game of action, scoring 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-for-3 from three while Quentin Woodson also netted 11 points on 3-for-4 from the field and 5-of-8 from the line.
    • As a result of back-to-back great defensive outings with the 84-62 win over Southwestern Christian on Thursday, senior forward Magok Manyang was named the SAC Defensive Player of the Week after closing out the pair of contests with a 7.5 rebounding average, blocking four shots and tallying a pair of steals.
