    • Mid-America Christian put together its most dominant win of the season in its Sooner Athletic Conference opener on Saturday as the Evangels ran away with a 6-0 victory over Wayland Baptist at the Dill Soccer Field.
    • MACU matched its most lopsided result ever against the Pioneers since coming away with a 6-0 win in Plainview, Texas on Sept. 26, 2017. In that victory, Brittney Stephens netted a pair of goals while Alissa Tapp finished with five points off a goal and two assists.
    • The Evangels' most recent win against WBU also featured a balanced scoring effort as Deborah Silveira recorded her first multi-goal match of her MACU career. Stephanie Arrivillaga and Brae Baker continued to be point-scoring machines as each notched three points off a goal and an assist with both boosting their season point totals to 16. Both players currently sit in a tie for fourth in the SAC in total points.
    • Madison Chavez and Alissa Taylor also found the back of the net in the win as Chavez netted her second goal of the season while it was Taylor's first of the year.

  • Team Notes:
    • Much like the Evangels, No. 24 Science & Arts is coming off a dominant win to open SAC play as the Drovers nuked Nelson at home on Saturday to the score of 5-1. In the victory, Daniela Salinas became the second player in the league to reach double-digit goals by reaching the brace (two goals) while junior goalkeeper Ashlyn Lonberg tallied three saves as both players were selected as the SAC Players of the Week.
    • The matchup will feature the two most prolific scoring teams in the conference as both squads sit at the top of the conference table at 77 points apiece. The Drovers are the highest goal scoring team in the SAC, averaging 3.11 goals per game while MACU is the top team in the league in assists with 27 dimes.
    • On-top of the offensive, the match will feature the top two scoring defenses as well as MACU possesses the lowest goals allowed average at 0.71 while the Drovers are conceding only 0.89 goals per contest. While the Drovers have split time at the keeper position, Ashlyn Lonberg has seen the most action in-net as she owns a 5-0-1 record with a 0.69 goals allowed average and a .750 save percentage. The Evangels will also need to key on sophomore forward Daniela Salinas, who is one of the best strikers in the Sooner with 10 goals scored, the second-most in the league.
    • While MACU is looking for its first win over the Drovers since 2021, the Evangels gave USAO a battle in their last meeting at the Dill Soccer Field on Sept. 30, 2023. In a 3-2 defeat, the Evangels went into the half with a 1-0 lead on Francesca Martella's 41st minute score. However, the Drovers stormed back to start the second half by scoring three-unanswered before Kadin Stinson rifled in a score in the 85th minute to close it to one. However, MACU was unable get a potential game-tying shot off in the final five minutes as Science & Arts survived the scare.
