  • Team Notes:
    • Baker has had an up-and-down start to its 2024 campaign. After opening the year with an 8-0 loss at Cumberland (Tenn), the Wildcats turned the tables for a dominant 7-2 victory at McPherson. Then, following a 2-0 loss to Missouri Baptist in its home-opener on Aug. 24, BU once again flipped the script to get its first shutout victory of the season by a 1-0 result at Ottawa on Aug. 30.
    • Defensively, Mid-America Christian will be looking to contain a pair of strong scorers in Emma Schieber and Darcy Cato, who have combined to net seven of Baker's eight goals so far this season.
    • After getting some shaky play in goal through the first 135 minutes of the season, the Wildcats have moved to freshman keeper Avery Young for the last two-and-a-half games. In those 225 minutes, Young has amassed a sensational 0.80 goals allowed average while making 14 saves for a stellar .875 save percentage.
    • Mid-America Christian and Baker will be facing each other for the third-straight year. The Evangels will be looking to stem the road results for both programs over the last few years as Baker came away with a 2-0 victory at the Dill Soccer Field on Sept. 3, 2022 before the Evangels avenged the loss with a 2-0 win of their own in Baldwin City, Kansas on Aug. 26, 2023.
