OKLAHOMA CITY – The No. 22 MACU Women's Basketball team will close out its five-game home stand on Thursday night as the Evangels welcome John Brown for White Out Night slated for a 6 p.m. tip-off inside the Gaulke Activity Center

SEASON REPORT
  • Record: 18-3 (14-3 SAC)
  • Last Game: Won vs. Oklahoma City – 70-54 – Jan. 25, 2025 – Gaulke Activity Center
  • Stat Leaders:
  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian utilized an explosive first half in its 70-54 win at home against Oklahoma City on Saturday. The Evangels jumped out to a dominant 23-9 lead through one quarter of play and took a 37-19 lead into the halftime break.
    • It was another incredible offensive performance from senior guard Kylee Scheer. The Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a career-high 32 points in the previous game against Southwestern Christian, dropped a 29-point performance on 11-of-18 shooting, going 3-for-8 from three-point range and 4-of-5 from the foul line to go with seven boards in the win.
    • Scheer's offensive numbers so far in the second half of the year have put her in the rare position where she currently ranks in the top 10 in the Sooner Athletic Conference in multiple statistical categories. Those include scoring (14.8 ppg, 10th), assists (3.1, 9th) and steals (2.3, 3rd) while just narrowly sitting outside the top 10 in rebounds (6.0, 14th), just 0.3 boards out of the top 10.
    • The Evangels will be looking to hold down the fort inside the Gaulke Activity Center as MACU enters their penultimate regular season home contest with a 13-2 (.867) record inside their home confines.
    • If MACU can get the win over the Golden Eagles, the Evangels would lockup a spot in the SAC Tournament for the 13th consecutive season.

  • Team Notes:
    • John Brown is coming off its toughest home loss of the season on Saturday as the Golden Eagles put together its lowest scoring output of the season in a 55-34 defeat against Langston inside Bill George Arena.
    • It has been tough sledding on the offensive end for the young Golden Eagles squad in SAC play as JBU ranks just 10th in scoring offense (60.5 ppg) while posting the eighth-best shooting percentage (37.8) and the second-best three-point percentage (31.9). However, the Golden Eagles have been incredibly competitive on the defensive end, ranking in the top five in scoring defense (60.4, 5th)
    • With a young roster consisting of just one senior, the Golden Eagles are led on the offensive end by freshman forward Sarah Snodgrass, who is one of three players in the league averaging a double-double at 16.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game. Freshman forward Caelyn Ferguson and sophomore guard Abbey Sanders are the only other players on the squad averaging in double-figures at 12.2 and 11.0 ppg respectively.
    • In their first meeting back on Nov. 21 inside Bill George Arena, Mid-America Christian needed to rally from 10 points down late in the third quarter as the Evangels outscored John Brown 33-14 over the final 13 minutes to come away with the 71-62 victory. Kylee Scheer led MACU's comeback efforts with 17 points while Shy Christopher scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half to lead the rally.
