Men’s Basketball Ready for Rams in Senior Day Saturday Matchup

OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Men's Basketball team is prepping for its final regular season home game inside the Gaulke Activity Center on its Senior Day Saturday as the Evangels will take on Texas Wesleyan for a 4 p.m. tip-off. MACU will honor its 12 graduating seniors following the conclusion of the women's game.

SEASON REPORT
  • Record: 19-6 (15-6 SAC)
  • Last Game: Won at Science & Arts – 75-74 – Feb. 13, 2025 – Chickasha, Okla.
  • Stat Leaders:
  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian survived another road scare at Science & Arts on Thursday night when the Drovers rallied back from 10 points down to take a lead with 14 seconds left. However, senior guard Juwan White came up clutch for the Evangels when he drove down the left side and got the game-winning bucket to fall with four seconds left. USAO had another chance at game-winner at the buzzer, but the Evangels played some strong defense on Tyler Cauley's right elbow jumper as it bricked off the back iron to give MACU the 75-74 victory.
    • While the tandem of White and Josiah Fulcher have been the team's leading scorers all season, the Evangels were led in the win by its two most tenured players as redshirt senior guard Tarrence Gaines paced MACU with 20 points while senior forward Quentin Woodson notched his first career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
    • The victory kept MACU within striking distance of the Sooner Athletic Conference title as the Evangels enter Senior Day in a three-way tie for second at 15-6 with Wayland Baptist and John Brown. Nelson currently leads the SAC with a 16-5 record while Langston sits a game back of MACU at 14-7.
    • On Saturday, the Evangels will be honoring its 2025 Senior Class that includes Juwan White, Josiah Fulcher, Carson Lambakis, Nick Bradley, Chase Byrne, Tarrence Gaines, Michael Wooten, Quentin Woodson, Keeshawn Mason, Peyton Musick, Magok Manyang and Ronnie Lopez.
