No. 24 Women's Basketball Enters NAIA First Round for Fifth Consecutive Season

OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 24 Women's Basketball heads to Olathe, Kansas for the opening round of the NAIA tournament with an 8:00 p.m. tip-off against Northwestern. (Iowa)

    • Mid-America Christian enters coming off a 64-54 loss in hopes of capturing its first SAC Championship. MACU played well on defense, holding Langston to just .352 (percent) from the floor, however the Evangels put up just 23 points in the first half, allowing Langston to run away with the victory.
    • Kylee Scheer led the Evangels with 17 points, she played an incredible 39 of 40 minutes, going 5-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-7 from downtown.
    • MACU put up an incredible fight without its leading scorer for the majority of the second half, Shy Christopher went down after colliding with the sideline bench and returned for only a minute during the second half.
    • The Evangels are 5-0 coming off losses this season, they seek to improve to 6-0 with their matchup against Northwestern.

    • The Red Raiders are led by Hali Anderson and Molly Schany, the duo both average around 15 points a game, with Anderson standing in with 16.4 points per contest as well as getting it done as a triple threat with 5.4 boards per game and 6.0 dimes per game. Schany averages a near double-double with 14.3 points per game and 9.2 rebounds per contest.
